Award "Value to Industry" by CHEManager

At the start of 2024, we were honored to win Innovation Pitch of the Year 2023 by CHEManager in "Value to Industry." This recognition meant a lot to us: it shows our technology not only benefits the planet but also provides real value to the industry, driving the green transformation.

Location Announcement of Our Demonstration Plant

In spring 2024 we announced the location of our first small industrial-scale production plant: the industry area “Neuland” in Hamburg-Harburg! Renovation of the former "Wedemann" bakery is well underway, transforming it into our traceless flagship office and production site.

A Visit from Jennifer Morgan - State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action

In June, we had the incredible honour of welcoming Jennifer Morgan to our office! We discussed how innovative biomaterials like traceless can drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions while addressing plastic pollution.

Announcement of our Pioneering Partnership with Mondi

In summer we announced our partnership with paper-converter Mondi – world leader in the packaging industry. Together, we’re replacing traditional plastic coatings with our traceless® coating—a huge step toward revolutionizing the packaging industry and driving the circular economy.

"Don’t Call It Plastic, It’s Traceless" Campaign

In July, we launched the "Don’t Call It Plastic, It’s traceless" campaign! This initiative helps everyone understand why traceless® stands out: it’s natural, plastic-free, home-compostable, and scientifically backed. Our goal? To make truly sustainable choices easy and transparent.

Team Days 2024

In July, our team gathered for the annual team days in North-West Germany! Workshops, strategy sessions, beach walks, and BBQs kept us aligned and inspired. United by one vision, we left even more ready to tackle challenges and drive green innovation together!

Labor Tempelhof Picks Traceless

In August, a successful large-scale test of our injection moulded fries pickers took place at Labor Tempelhof—an event series showcasing circular solutions, with 3 concerts à ~60,000 visitors. Our partner was GTB Gastro Team Bremen, part of Aramark, organizer of the gastronomy booths. And the consumer feedback was beyond positive!

Marketing for Future Award

In September, our "Don't Call It Plastic. It's traceless!" campaign won Silver in the "Sustainable Natives" category at the BAM Marketing for Future Award. This award honours impactful, honest storytelling in sustainable marketing, reinforcing our commitment to transparent, science-backed communication.

Huge interest in traceless solutions at FachPack

In September, our sales team and CEO Anne attended FACHPACK 2024 in Nürnberg, showcasing traceless® solutions for sustainable packaging. It was inspiring to connect with industry leaders, share ideas, and drive the shift toward regenerative, circular packaging for a greener future.

Stand-Up Pouch with Mondi

Large-scale trials with our partner Mondi led to the first stand-up pouch made of Mondi paper coated with traceless, which combines true sustainability with beneficial barrier properties, like heat-sealability. We proudly showcased the pouch at FACHPACK 2024 together with Mondi, giving visitors a chance to touch and feel the future of packaging.

Times Square Goes Traceless

In October, we were honoured to be on the Norrsken Impact 100 list of the world’s most promising impact startups! Meaning our traceless logo got showcased on Times Square in New York—a moment to remember as we continue driving sustainable innovation.

Scaling Up for Change

In 2024, we began building our first industrial-scale production plant in a renovated building in Hamburg-Harburg. Launching in 2025, this plant marks our first large-scale market entry, enabling commercial availability of traceless® solutions and accelerating our impact toward replacing plastics.

The Road To Market Entry

Moving forward to the end of 2025, we’re excited to bring traceless® products to market! From cutlery and friespickers to innovative packaging solutions, our first products will demonstrate how our traceless alternatives can replace conventional plastics in everyday life—leaving no trace behind.

Team Growth and Impact

Anticipating what's next, our growing mission calls for a growing team! This year, we’ve seen a 41% increase, bringing our team to 65 employees as of December 2024. We’re excited to welcome even more passionate changemakers to the traceless team in 2025. Together, we’ll continue driving innovation and making a lasting impact.
