Double the Fairs, Double the Fun: traceless at FACHPACK & IAAPA

Over the past week, the traceless-team had the chance to attend not one, but two exciting events – FACHPACK 2024 in Nürnberg and IAAPA 2024 in Amsterdam. We were there to share what we’ve been working on and to connect with others in the industry. Here’s a recap of what we experienced!

FACHPACK 2024: Unwrapping the Future of Packaging

Our CEO Anne in Conversation

FACHPACK was an important moment for us. Our sales team and CEO Anne were there to present our different traceless solutions with a focus on paper-coating applications, a solution we believe can really change the way packaging is done. It was great to see so much interest from people across the industry who wanted to learn more about what we do and why we do it.

What stood out most was the strong excitement and clear demand for new packaging solutions, especially those that comply with the PPWR and SUPD regulations. We had many meaningful conversations with professionals from the food service, cutlery, and packaging industries about how our traceless solutions can effectively replace conventional plastics. In particular, our coating solution stood out as an alternative to traditional plastic coatings, which are often difficult to recycle and have a high littering potential. It’s not every day you see such genuine enthusiasm for a coating, but there we were, surrounded by people who recognized its potential for driving real change toward a more circular and sustainable future!

mondi traceless pouch bag

A special thank you goes out to our partner Mondi for the great partnership and of course for the collaboration in developing the very first stand-up pouch made of Mondi paper coated with traceless – a true example of how our coating offers both sustainability and beneficial barrier properties. It was exciting to have a product that visitors could touch and feel, demonstrating the potential of combining "Mondi Paper" with "traceless coatings." This partnership shows that by working together, we can tackle even the biggest challenges in the packaging world and make real progress.

Above all, FACHPACK reminded us why we do what we do: packaging doesn’t have to be a boring necessity; it can be an opportunity to rethink, reinvent, and make a meaningful impact. We were especially honored to be visited by a UN delegation and to share how traceless can be part of the solution, particularly for items with short use phases, high littering potential, or recycling challenges. While no single solution can solve every problem, it’s through collaboration and innovation that we can make real progress. We’re now following up on all the valuable connections we made and are excited to continue this journey towards packaging that not only protects products, but also helps protect the planet.

IAAPA 2024: Where Fun Meets Sustainability

But that wasn’t all – while some of our team was in Nürnberg, others headed to Amsterdam for IAAPA 2024. This event brought together the attractions and amusement industry, and we were there to show that sustainability can fit right into these spaces, whether it’s theme parks, festivals, or other entertainment venues.

We’re all about making it easy to choose more sustainable options without taking away from the fun. Our solutions help reduce environmental impact while still letting everyone enjoy the experience. It’s about helping our customers reach their sustainability goals in a way that makes sense for them.

We brought along our traceless food-service products, from cutlery and food trays to our coffee cup solution – all designed to help reduce single-use plastics in the event & attractions industry. These small but impactful products quickly caught the attention of many who are looking for more sustainable options in their parks and attractions. What made these conversations even more exciting was sharing how our solutions are not just sustainable but completely plastic-free, and fully compliant with the SUPD. As we like to say, don’t call it plastic, it's traceless!

We left IAAPA feeling more energized than ever about bringing our solutions to places where sustainability might not be the first thing on everyone’s mind – but we’re ready to change that, one snack at a time... We are looking forward to follow-up on all the interesting conversations we’ve had.

What’s Next for Us?

The journey doesn’t stop here! Next up, we’ll be at the Sustainability in Packaging conference in Barcelona from the 8t-10th of October and Scanpack in Gothenburg from the 22nd-25th of October. We can’t wait to continue these important conversations and share even more about how traceless can contribute to a greener future for all.

If we didn’t get a chance to connect at the events, don’t hesitate to reach out to our sales team (sales@traceless.eu) – we’d love to talk more about how we can work together!
